We are surrounded by design all day long. The chair you hadn't noticed. The lamp you assumed had always been there. Someone made those decisions, usually after much deliberation.

Here, we talk to those people. Designers, makers, and occasionally a contrarian with a strong opinion about doorknobs. We ask what they are working on, what they have thrown away, and what they would change if no one were watching.

No manifestos. Just good conversations, written down.
